Home & School Association

This page was updated on February 1, 2012.

St. Joseph School Home and School Association is the very visible and vibrant parents association of the school. It was organized with a three-fold purpose:

1. to promote communication, good will, and cooperation among parents, faculty, administration, school board, and the parish of St. Joseph School, and

2. to provide leadership and coordination of activities for the purpose of service, special functions, educational programs, and/or fund-raising, and

3. to foster the political action of parents as advocates regarding national, state, and local legislation that affects Catholic schools as well as the lives of students and parents.

All parents and faculty of St. Joseph School are members of the Home and School Association.

The 2011-2012 officers of the Home and School Association are:
John Falcon - President
Lori Kyle - Vice President
Crystal Smith - Treasurer

Notes from John

Dear SJS Parents and Staff,

It is that time of year again. Fair preparations are in full swing. The next fair committee meeting will be announced at the next Home and School meeting. The next Home and School general meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, February 2nd, at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. We will be discussing several upcoming fund raising events. Also on the agenda are several expenditures we would like you input on.

Fair packets were sent home last week in the Wednesday packet. The fair dates are March 23-25, 2012. The parent work schedule for the fair will be the same as last year. The schedule will be forwarded to all room moms in the near future.

Raffle tickets for the fair will be going home on Wednesday February 1. Extra tickets will be available in the office sometime next week. Make sure to mark envelopes with your child’s name and class, when returning tickets. This will ensure proper credit is given for individual and class prizes. We are raising the stakes this year on the individual prizes. We will be announcing them to the students on Wednesday February 1st at assembly.

Also coming up is Strawberry parking. This is one of our top fund raising events, after the fair.

Please remember, this is YOUR Home and School. We hope to see everyone at the next meeting and the upcoming events.

Sincerely,
John Falcon, President
Home and School Association
